Youtube premium price hike: subscribers face another round of increases

YouTube Premium subscribers in the US are in for another price hike. Google has confirmed that the cost of individual and family plans will rise, effective with the June 2026 billing cycle.

Individual plan jumps to $15.99 per month

The individual plan will increase from $13.99 to $15.99 per month, a $2 monthly bump. This adds up to an extra $24 per year.

Family plan surges to $26.99 per month

The family plan, which supports up to six users, will jump from $22.99 to $26.99 per month. This $4 increase equates to almost $50 more annually.

Youtube music premium and premium lite also get pricier

YouTube Music Premium will rise from $10.99 to $11.99 per month, while the cheaper Premium Lite tier increases from $7.99 to $8.99.

Subscribers are already receiving email notifications about the changes, although Google hasn't issued an official statement. This marks the third time in four years that the platform has hiked prices in the US.
