Boost air taps defense veteran as new head of defense division

Boost Air, the newly formed aero-defense group, has named defense industry veteran Daniel García Guelbenzu as its new head of the defense division, the company announced on Monday.

Growing strategic presence in defense market

García Guelbenzu brings over 25 years of experience in the aerospace and defense sectors, with a track record of strategic leadership, operational and commercial success with prominent international companies.

Most recently, he was the general manager of MBDA España from 2010 to 2021, leading the growth and development of the division since its inception and establishing it as a recognized leader in defense systems in Spain. Prior to that, García Guelbenzu held various leadership positions at GE Aviation, Airbus, and Boeing.

Since 2021, he has also worked as a defense and aerospace industry consultant, advising companies in the sector and maintaining a strong network of relationships within the European military ecosystem.
