Anthropic scrambles to fix issue after widespread disruption
The website status page for Claude indicated an 'important outage' affecting both Claude and Claude Code. DownDetector, a third-party outage tracker, recorded a surge in reports of users unable to access Claude.
'We've detected a problem causing an increase in errors on Claude.ai, both on computers and mobile devices,' Anthropic stated in its status panel. 'Users may experience errors when trying to log in, use voice mode or complete chats with Claude.' The company assured it was working to resolve the issue 'as soon as possible'.

What is claudé?
Claude AI is an AI language model developed by Anthropic that competes with OpenAI's popular ChatGPT. The platform has garnered significant attention in recent weeks, with Claude app downloads briefly surpassing ChatGPT's on the Apple App Store in early March.
However, this is not the first time Claude has faced a service disruption. A similar outage was reported by users on Monday, with Anthropic's status panel showing multiple issues over the past few weeks.
