Google's ai fitness trainer hits 37 countries, debuts in spain
Google is expanding its AI-powered fitness trainer to 37 countries, including Spain, as it looks to revolutionize personal health and wellness with machine learning. The move marks a significant step forward for the tech giant's ambitious plans to integrate AI into everyday life.

Personalized fitness plans and sleep advice
The trainer, which uses Google's Gemini AI engine, is designed to provide users with customized workout routines and sleep guidance based on their individual needs and goals. It can adapt plans in real-time and offer personalized advice based on a user's progress and health data.
Users can start by having a 5-10 minute conversation with the AI to set their objectives and motivations. The system then uses that information to develop a tailored fitness plan, which can be adjusted on the fly and tracked alongside sleep recommendations.
The trainer's capabilities are enhanced by integrating data from Google's Pixel watches and Fitbit app. This allows for a more comprehensive understanding of a user's physical activity, heart rate, and other vital signs to inform its advice.
Google has also added a new metric to the trainer - VO2 max, a measure of cardiovascular endurance previously known as the Aerobic Capacity Score. This feature is rolling out alongside the expanded public preview in select countries.
The AI fitness trainer is now available to users in the Fitbit app for iOS and Android, including both Premium subscribers and those on free plans. With its global rollout, Google is poised to make a major impact on the fitness industry and demonstrate the potential of AI in improving public health.
