Google's quick share may add mandatory confirmation for incoming files

Google's file-sharing feature, Quick Share, might be introducing a new step for users: a mandatory confirmation prompt before accepting incoming file transfers. This change, detected in an unreleased APK code, could potentially slow down the seamless experience Quick Share has strived to offer.

A step back or a security upgrade?

Quick Share, formerly known as Nearby Share, has competed with Apple's AirDrop by focusing on speed and low friction.
